Hi, everyone! It’s me! If you’ve even getting my monthly newsletter for awhile, this might look a bit different - and it is! I’ve moved over to Substack - long story short, it’s free! Hurray! And it’s easy to read past emails in case you missed it on my Substack dashboard. But otherwise, it’s all the same.
This month was a doozy - I turned 31 and we passed 150,000 subscribers on Youtube! Both of those numbers are hard to imagine in their own ways. 🤯
In my wildest dreams, I never pictured Adventures and Naps growing into what it is today and I’m so thankful for your support. Without you, it wouldn’t exist. So thank you for following me over the years and joining me on this crazy adventure.
And then a few more ups and downs - my partner planned a surprise trip to Paris (which was so much fun) and then we got the flu once we got home (0/10 feeling horrible). I’m hoping to turn the footage I took into a video for Patreon/YT Memberships and I’m extra-hoping I won’t stay sick for too long… 🤧 But currently we’re both bundled up on the couch, surrounded by cough medicines, easy-peeler oranges and so many tissues (it’s a pretty gross sight, to be fair).
ps: please excuse all the typos - I blame NiteNurse!

A+N Updates
Twitch was a lot of fun this month! We built a giant tiger lego, got lost a few times playing Geoguessr and started a new spooky multiplayer game! Also as tradition, we had a Bad Movie Night which may have been the worst film we’ve seen to-date!
For those who aren’t familiar with Twitch, it’s basically our live-hangout-platform. Most people associate it with watching someone play video games, but we use it as a live hangout with games, crafts and movies. It’s free as well, in case you’re looking to join the community!
March on Youtube was a busy one. One way I wanted to get out of my comfort zone and try a new style of video was seeing if I could buy a whole outfit secondhand - that was really fun! I also sat on the floor and had a chatty catch-up sharing some life lessons I’ve learned lately to celebrate turning 31! And of course, watched some Would I Lie to You (one of my favourites). And finally, I shared a wild story about how the British used Monopoly to save soldiers in WW2! This video required a decent amount of research but I really enjoyed learning something new, even if the video didn’t perform well. As a creator, I find it so important to experiment with new topics and formats, rather than doing the same thing over and over again…
For my exclusive content on Patreon and Youtube Memberships, I baked my first-ever Manchester tart! 🥧 I also unboxed so many surprise goodies to my PO Box and taste-tested some really weird stuff YOU guys didn't want to try!
What I’ve been watching + reading
This month I watched Maestro, which was OK! Not fab, but not terrible, either. The bigger disappointment was Dune 2! I had no expectations with the first Dune and went into it pretty blind - but I was so surprised by how much I enjoyed it! Unfortunately this one felt like more of a let-down. But the cinema was empty and I had a giant bucket of popcorn, so I can’t complain.
I read The Three Body Problem this month and I can’t stop talking about it. It’s been awhile since I’ve read some sci-fi and I can’t wait to read the rest in the series! I’m hoping to finish them all before starting the new Netflix show. 📡
Bits that made me laugh
Thanks so much for reading and I hope you’ve had a great March, too! I can’t wait to be healthy again and creating new content for April :)
