June! It arrived, it was fun, and it left. This month has largely been planning for next month when I’ll be in Canada visiting family for 3 weeks! Ahhhh! I was hoping to work as little as possible, which means getting content ready ahead of time. I’m really happy with the videos coming up - I hope you enjoy them, too!
To be fair, I haven’t done much outside of working this month, but it’s been a good month all the same.
Oh! I did just go to London for a solo-adventure ✨ That video will be out in a few weeks (unless it doesn’t work out, in which case forget I said anything…)
Going home in July has been a tradition for awhile but it hasn’t always been successful. You might remember my Trip From Hell (even did a whole video on it) where I spent the entire trip in Canada unbelievable sick in bed. Thankfully last year didn’t include any major sickness but it’s always a fear in the back of my mind. This trip I’m stocked up on all sorts of “please don’t get sick” goodies, from mouthwash to nasal sprays to Vitamin C… cross your fingers for me!
Mainly when I go home, I want to hang out with my family by the pool, lay in the sun, BBQ dinner and go for hikes. That’s all I could ever want! (And sleep in air conditioning….)

A+N Updates
This month on Twitch we watched a hilariously terrible movie, had a chaotic golf tournament, played new games and built some lego! Twitch is always such a nice way to unwind after my workday and hangout with the community. Honestly, as someone who works entirely from home, it’s saved my sanity.
If you want to join in, please pop over to Twitch! I’m live every Sunday and Wednesday night, starting at 5:30pm BST. It’s free! Yay!
Youtube this month I shared some weird British things in my kitchen, taste-tested UK ice lollies and chatted about my experiences working in the UK after 8 years. I also reacted to wild British PSAs! My god lol
If you’d like to watch a bonus full-length video every week, please consider joining me on Patreon or Youtube Memberships! This month I shared my entire video-creating-process from start to finish, plus took a trip down memory lane with the most influential video games I’ve ever played. 💻 🎮 I also made my first-ever treacle tart and completed a British pub quiz! It’s been a busy month!
What I’ve been watching + reading
For something a bit different, I read the memoir The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls 🏰 Wow. Really puts things into perspective! Jeannette had what you can only describe as a traumatic and chaotic childhood, and it really makes you grateful for what you have. A wonderfully eye-opening read, if you’re looking for something!
This month I saw Furiosa at the cinema (it was fun!) and then re-watched Fury Road which is a nearly perfect movie?? I loved it so much and it still holds up! We also watched Dark Matter which is a bit silly but still enjoyable. If you wanna talk about really silly, we saw Under Paris, the Jaws-type movie when a killer shark is swimming around the Seine. Hilarious 🦈 I love movies like this.
Bits that made me laugh
Thanks so much for reading! I hope you’ve had a happy and healthy June and get a nice coffee in the sun sometime soon. ☀️ Can’t wait to report back on my time in Canada for our next newsletter!
