I feel like I say this every time, but this month really did just ✨disappear✨
But it was a good month!
I had my one-year laser eye check-up (you can watch the video here) but the short version is that it went really well! My doctor was happy with my healing and my vision is now better than what it was with my last pair of glasses. Incredible!! I hope it lasts!!!!!!!!! (and I hope I didn’t just jinx it!)
As part of my “get out of my comfort zone” challenge, I filmed another solo trip video - this time to the Victoria and Albert museum! I had a lot of fun and I was so happy I went 🏛️ I hope you liked the video! It’s a series I’m excited to continue and I already have another idea in the works.
September is one of my favourite months but I feel like I didn’t have time to sit and notice it before it was already gone. 🍂 I’m forcing myself to SIT and RELAX at some point in October and enjoy autumn before winter hits. Sometimes I feel like I’m so focused on planning ahead that I’m missing the present. If you’re like me, this is your reminder!! Notice the present!!!

A+N Updates
On Youtube this month, I reacted to wild British scandals, shared my one-year laser eye surgery update, plus some weird bits of Canadian culture that surprised my British partner! And of course, the V&A adventure. I had so much fun there but there’s still so much to see - hopefully I can return again soon.
Twitch was fun this month with lots of lego, gaming and bad movie night! 🧱🎲🍿 Since I work entirely from home now, it’s really nice to have a place to virtually hangout after work twice a week.
We also played a British comedy game “Thank Goodness Your Here” which is probably the funniest-totally-British game I’ve ever played. You gotta check it out!
If you’d like to watch a bonus full-length weekly video, please consider joining me on Patreon or Youtube Memberships. I post the same content on each platform, but I know some people prefer staying on Youtube or vice versa.
This month for my exclusive content, I reacted to more crazy British adverts, shared a day-in-the-life vlog and taste-tested weird stuff I found at Poundland! I also tried to bake a historical British pudding with next-to-no instructions 😅🥧
What I’ve been watching + reading
This month included a few spook’ems - and it’s not even Spooky Month yet! I watched Oddity (which was super fun and atmospheric) and the latest Alien film (which was less fun but still spooky)!
A bunch of my favourite shows have released new seasons lately so I’ve been watching the latest from The Bear and Only Murders in the Building. To be fair, I think The Bear is one of my all-time favourites now. Such a perfect piece of television! 🧑🏻🍳
Also as part of my latest Gordon Ramsey re-run vibe, I re-watched all of his Hotel Hell series - so much fun.
As part of our informal monthly Book Club on our Discord (available to certain tiers on Patreon/YT Members), this month we read The Book That Wouldn’t Burn by Mark Lawrence. As always when I choose a book, I know ~basically nothing about it~ other than it was recommended by a friend and here we are!
It was pretty good - what I would classify as fantasy with a hint of romance that kind of feels YA but not. Some parts went a bit slow, but other parts I was totally engrossed. Overall an enjoyable read!
Bits that made me laugh
Thank you so much for reading! I’m actually really excited for October aka Spooky Month 🎃👻 and proper autumn weather! Big jumpers and hot tea.
Hope you had a great September!
